Native American figures in a chromolithograph from Albert Racinet's Le Costume Historique, published in Paris by Firmin Didot about 1880. The sheet is lettered "America, Amérique, America" across the top, is numbered 100 at the upper right, and carries the credit "Brandin lith." at the lower left.

Eight figures are set in three groupings. At the upper left a woman in a blue robe with several strands of red beads stands beside a decorated shield, and a second figure in a long brown robe with a pink border carries a child on her back. At the upper right three figures stand against a brick wall, two bare-chested with long bead necklaces and patterned skirts, and a third in blue trousers holding a bow wrapped in skin. The lower band has three seated or standing women: one in a fringed hide robe and many necklaces, one in a white blouse holding an infant in a basket cradle, and one in a fur robe, each with a patterned cap. The colors are bright and flat, with the details of the beadwork carefully drawn.

The plate belongs to Racinet's survey of historical costume.
